Study: Pacific Aviation Museum at Pearl
Harbor
Challenge:
Create
a dynamic video to explain the purpose of and raise funds
for a new $50 million aviation museum on historic Ford Island
in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
Campaign:
Edit 1 Media worked closely with Allan Palmer, the CEO of PAM at the time, to create
a strong script designed to compel the viewer to donate funds
for a new historic venture. Combining WWII
public domain footage with new footage and strong voice over
talent, Edit 1 Media created a riveting video with a clear
capital campaign appeal.
Results:
"Ford Island: Preserving a National Treasure" was
shown at the 2nd Annual Benefit Dinner and was incorporated
into a custom authored DVD. Hundreds of copies have been distributed
nationally which helped to raise over $10 million in two years.
Additional
Works: Edit 1 Media created additional videos for
PAM's fundraising and was commissioned to create
videos for exhibits in the museum which opened in December
2006. Edit 1 Media won a First Place Telly Award for the short film "A Return to Ford Island" in 2007.
